Genesis

PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Sonpur was established in 1963 to cater to the educational needs of the children of Central Government employees, serving as well as retired, including those of the Indian Railways.
It’s part of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, known for providing quality education across the country. The genesis of Kendriya Vidyalayas lies in the vision of promoting national integration and fostering a sense of unity among the diverse cultural heritage of India.
